Integrating, Delivering and Managing information - Stato.
|
Stato EAI
Stato's broad support for different standards makes it easy to
integrate Stato to the already existing systems as well as to future
systems . For example, producing and reading XML are among basic
properties in Stato. In the integration phase, the form and the
preferred method of publishing data are obviously defined, but
integrating Stato to different systems and databases is easy to carry
out. The integration is made possible by using the following
standards and interfaces: XML, Stato-Java-API, Java-C -interface(JNI),
SQL, HTML, HTTP, LDAP, FTP, SOAP.
Stato uses two-way integration channels, which makes it easy to
direct information from the data source through conversion to the
correct targets in different formats.
Gateway
Stato can be used as a gateway solution, for example, inside a
firewall. This makes it possible to publish information in the servers
outside the local area network, either in another Stato or in other
distribution servers, without opening an entrance to the local area
network for the end-users of the service. The (public)
portal/distribution server can be placed in the DMZ net and it can make
the actual calls to the local area network through a firewall machine.
Integrating External Databases
It is possible to integrate various databases and data sources with
Stato. This makes it possible to compile one service from different
data sources or to use the information found in the data sources in one
or more applications. The simplest way to integrate a relational
database is to use Stato's database VFS transformation. This way the
structure of the integrated database is described with a control file
in XML format. The control file makes it possible to form individual
tables, relations and views.
