Integrating, Delivering and Managing information - Stato. |
Stato 3 CMS
Stato CMS is a versatile tool for managing content. The software is
designed to be used when managing and publishing content for web sites.
Stato CMS can be integrated to external data sources with the help of
Stato Adaptors.
Stato CMS can be updated to match Stato ECM/PORTAL, which enables unrestricted management and publishing of network services.
Stato CMS is typically used as content management system for a
single network service. The software includes a ready and versatile
management application. Stato CMS can also be developed to include
customer-specific content management processes.
Properties
The properties of Stato 3 CMS can be divided into two main groups: content management and system management.
Content Management
With content management tools, the content of a network service
(articles, texts, pictures, etc.) is managed. Content management
includes the following properties: creating a new information
level/article, choosing templates, version management, feeding the
content, editing the content, preview, save, canceling an action,
delete, publishing, timing, managing metadata, approval procedures,
reminders, captions, etc. In addition, it is possible to use a personal
desktop for every content administrator, including, for example, the
documents under work. With Stato's access management, all the content
administrators can operate in the content management system according
to their personal rights and are able to edit content they have access
to.
System Management
System management includes the following properties: structure management, material bank, access right management.
Structure Management
With structure management you can manage the
hierarchical structure of the entire network service and e.g. create
different language versions. Structure management is not required when
creating article pages, but it is useful when creating individual
articles.
Material Bank
Material bank is mainly divided into picture-
and article directory. In addition, a material bank can include, for
example, a template library, attachment library and a directory of
different functions . The directory is used with applications that
define stylistic matters (graphic look and lay out) in the publishing
templates and with which the elements to be used can be chosen in
preferred order from an element selection list - for example headline,
caption, product information, contacts, etc.
Access Right Management
Access right management is needed if the application/network service
is managed by several persons whose user roles and user rights differ
from each other. Usually the user information is acquired through
integration with the user information system of the organization and by
setting the rights in accordance with the application/network service
in question. If there is no need for integration, the entire processing
of the user information and user rights can be carried out by using the
tool in question.
